Caption: Chief of banned outfit ASWJ is threatening Shi’a women & Children during his hatred speech
Islamabad: Ahl-e-Sunnat wa’l-Jama’at-ASWJ1, the banned outfit organization held a rally in Islamabad, shouting slogans of kafir kafir Shia Kafir (Shi’a are apostates) in the rally, the head of Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat threatened against Shia Muslim women and children, indicating that the Arbaeen Walk will be stopped by force next year.
On October 6, 2022, Ahl-e-Sunnat-Wa’l-Jama’at-ASWJ, a banned outfit organized a rally under banner of ‘Shuhada-e-Islam Pakistan Conference’ in Hockey Stadium Islamabad. Speakers made hate-speeches against Shi’a Muslims. Participants of the conference chanted anti-Shi’a slogans.
Deobandi cleric Muhammad Ahmed Ludhyanvi Chief of ASWJ condemned Shi’a Muslim community of Pakistan over organizing the Arabaeen Walks on the eve of Chehlum-e-Imam Hussain (A.S) all over the country. He even used abusive language against Shi’a women and children for participating in mourning of Imam-e-Hussain processions on the said event.
“I am issuing policy statement as Chief of Ahl-e-Sunnat-wa’l-Jama’at , We shall resist Arabaeen Walks of Shi’as in every town of Pakistan next year. Our male workers will stop Shi’a women and children by force”, he said in threatening tone.
Workers of banned outfit ASWJ chanted anti-Shi’a slogan during the hatred and provoking speech of Muhammad Ahmed Ludhyanvi, the chief of ASWJ.
ASWJ aka Millat-e-Islamia Pakistan-MIP aka Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan-SSP aka Anjuman-e-SiPah-e-Sahabah Pakistan is included in the list of proscribed and banned outfits. ASWJ according to National Counter Terrorism Authority-NCTA is involved in terrorist and militant activities in Pakistan.2
ASWJ is one of those militant organizations emerged from Deobandi sect who is involved in genocidal attacks on Shi’a community of Pakistan. ASWJ is running persecutory campaign against Shi’a Muslims.
“Ban on ASWJ just in papers2, is being implemented neither by federal government nor by the provincial governments. Offices and units of the said banned outfit are functional all over the country. Anti-Shi’a persecutory activities are being allowed by the governments at federal and provincial levels. Hatred propaganda against religious minorities particularly against Shi’as of Pakistan are being disseminated through social media even through distribution of published literature all over the country. The banned out fit ASWJ creates Law & Order situation while curtailing the religious freedom of Shi’a Muslim in Pakistan. Shi’a Muslims in Pakistan can not perform their religious duties freely due to organized persecutory campaign against them. There are various examples of registering the criminal cases under Blasphemy Laws against Shi’a Muslims in Police Stations over just waving the Flag of Ghazi Abbas Alamdar or reciting elegies in commemoration of Martyrs of Karbala in 61 H.”, Said Aamir Rana an expert on militancy and faith-based violence against religious minorities.
Muhammad Ahmed Ludhyanvi Chief of ASWJ, Aurangzeb Farooqui the Central General Secretary of ASWJ, Molana Moavia Azam Member Punjab Assembly and prominent leader of ASWJ, who addressed the conference are proscribed persons according to the Proscribed Persons-PP list on official website of the National Counter Terrorism Authority Pakistan. Proscribed Persons can not be make public speeches according to the Law.3
