A suicide-bomber blew himself in an educational center at Dasht-i-Berchi, an area of Hazra Shi’a neighborhood in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. 19 Afghan Hazara Shi’a Muslims were killed and 27 were wounded.
According to Tolo news’ official website,
“Kaaj, an educational institution that held entrance exams has been targeted in Kabul’s PD13. Sadly, preliminary data shows that twenty people were killed in the attack and many others were injured,”
The blast was condemned by the Islamic Emirate, the United States, Norway, Iran, Afghan political leaders and foreign diplomatic missions.
The Islamic Emirate’s spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid in a tweet condemned the attack and called it “great horror.”
Former chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR), Abdullah Abdullah, condemned the attack, saying those responsible for the blast are the enemies of peace and development in the country.
The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) tweeted it “condemns the outrage, extending its deep condolences to all those in mourning.”

The U.S. Charge d’Affaires Karen Decker said on Twitter: “The U.S. strongly condemns today’s attack on the Kaaj Higher Educational Center. Targeting a room full of students taking exams is shameful; all students should be able to pursue an education in peace & without fear.”
In last days of former Kabul regime led by Ashraf Ghani responsibility of every terrorist action was accepted by IS-K. and still situation is same, every attack or suicide-bombing occurred, responsibility has been taken by IS-K. Taliban regime couldn’t stop the Hazara Shi’a genocide. Taliban Regime even couldn’t make sustainable security arrangements in Dast-i-Berchi, only Shi’a neighborhood in Kabul.
Islamic State- Khorasan Province (IS-K) in fact is a terrorist organization having majority of its member from Afghan Taliban,from various factions of Tehreek Taliban Pakistan-TTP,many from Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan-SSP, many from Jaish-i-Muhammad-JM all are Takfiri Deobandi Sunni Hanafi sect, in their view Shi’a are apostates deserved to be killed. Current Taliban Regime’s militants too had organized lethal attacks on Hazara Shi’a community not only in Kabul but in Shi’a neighborhoods in northern Afghanistan.
US based journalist Dr. Ewelina U. Ochab ‘s article appeared on official website of Forbes Magazine titled with ‘Hazra community at risk of Genocide in Kabul’. She writes in introductory lines:
Over the last year, the Hazara, an ethno-religious minority group in Afghanistan, have been subjected to increased attacks. In August 2022, Islamic State–Khorasan Province (IS-K), the regional affiliate of the Islamic State, a terror organization, claimed responsibility for several attacks that resulted in over 120 fatalities within a few days alone. This adds to several other attacks over the last year that specifically targeted the Hazara places of worship, schools and other public places. The Taliban, the de facto authority exercising effective control, the Taliban, and a primary duty-bearer in view of Afghanistan’s legal obligations under international treaties, has not responded to the attacks to provide the community with assistance.
