Narrative of the Event

Karachi: On March 22, 1983 (7 Jamadi Sani 1403 AH), an anti-Shi’a Muslim fanatic mob led by terrorists of the Takfiri-Deobandi organization Anjuman-i-Sipah-i-Sahabah Pakistan attacked Shia-majority areas, burned down 94 houses owned by Shi’a Muslims, and rioters killed 8 Shi’a Muslims. In fact, these anti-Shia riots were a continuation of the riots that started in Muharram in 1403 AH.
