Narrative of the Event

On August 6, 1957 (10 Muharram 1377 AH), a charged mob led by local leaders of the Tanzeem-i-Ahle-Sunnat-TAS anti-Shi’a Takfiri Deobandi organization attacked Azadar Shi’a Muslims in Ashura Procession at a small twon Sitapur of Esat Ahmedpur of District Bahawalpur of Southern Punjab,Pakistan. Three Shi’a Muslim Azadar were killed, and 70 were injured.
