Narrative of the Event

On March 7, 1995, Dr. Muhammad Ali Naqvi, a Shi’a leader, and his driver, Chief Guard Zamin Taqi, were gunned down at Yateem Khana Chowk in Lahore by terrorists of Sipah-i-Sahaba (SSP), a radical anti-Shia organization. He was going to the Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex, where he was employed. Terrorists from the SSP fired their jeep at Yateem Khana Chowk, Multan Road, Lahore. His gunman and driver, Zamin Taqi, tried hard to save him and presented himself as a shield. Muhammad Ali Naqvi was severely injured and was transferred to the hospital, but he could not survive.

Dr. Muhammad Ali was a founding member of the Imamia Students Organization (ISO), and he was the senior leader of Tehreek Jaffaria Pakistan (TJP).
