Narrative of the Event
On August 16, 2003, two unknown armed assailants shot dead a Shia religious leader here at Peoples Colony on Thursday at noon. Javed Hussain Dogar was working in an embroidery factory when two unknown armed persons knocked on the door of the factory. When he peeped out through the gate, the killers sprayed bullets on him and fled from the scene. The injured Shia leader was rushed to a local hospital in precarious condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.
