Narrative of the Event

On December 26, 2004, masked men shot dead two Shi’a Ismaili employees of the Aga Khan Health Service, Chitral office, and set ablaze five vehicles parked on the office premises on Sunday night.

Watchman Amir Baig told Dawn that four masked men had opened fire on his colleague Hakeem Mohammad. They also shot at driver Sher Ali when he came out of his room, hearing the sounds of gunfire. Both had died on the spot.

After that, the assailants set ablaze five vehicles and fled. The police have seized a Kalashnikov with 105 rounds and a detonator. They have arrested a number of suspects, including the activists of some banned organizations.
