Narrative of the Event
On July 13, 1997, terrorists of Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (the militant wing of the SSP anti-Shi’a organization) led by Riaz Basra attacked Majlis-i-Aza at the house of Mukhtiyar Hussain, a leader of Tehreek-i-Jaffaria-TJ, and gunned down the three Shi’a Muslims there, including Mukhtiyar Hussain, a ghalvi Shi’a leader of TJ.
