Web-desk: Local Administrations of the Punjab province in Pakistan sealed Imambargahs and banned the Majalis-i-Aza (Mourning meetings of Martyrs of Karbala). Deputy Commissioner Gujrat district along with law enforcement agencies arrived at Imambargah in Jasuki Village, where a charged mob led by Anti-Shi’a banned outfit Sipah-i-Sahabah Pakistan-SSP aka Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jammat-ASWJ was chanting hatred slogans against Shi’a Muslims and trying to stop them to commemorate the Martyrdoms of Imam Hussain, his family members and his followers in the Imambargah. Instead of taking stern action against the miscreants of banned ASWJ/SSP, DC Gujrat ordered his subordinate employees of local administration to seal Imambargah and imposed a ban on organizing the Azadari without permission even under the wall-boundary of the Imambargah.
According to ‘Daily Gujrat News’ a local YouTube channel, Shi’a Muslim community from all over the Gujrat district condemn the local administration’s discriminatory action against Shi’a Muslim community of the Yasuki Village of District Gujrat.
“Not only in Gujrat district but in Rawalpindi, Sarai Kasra, Pind Dadan Khan in Jhelum District three Imambargahs of Shi’a Muslim community were sealed and imposed a ban over Majalis-i-Aza there. There is no justification for such ban, it is against the Freedom of Religion and open and shut violation of the Constitution of 1973”, said Altaf Kazmi district leader of Tehreek-i-Nifaz-Fiqha-Jaffriya Pakistan – TNFJ, while talking to website Shi’a Muslim Genocide – SMG
